Jackson Lab announces microscope technology breakthrough (Bar Harbor Times)

BAR HARBOR — Astonishing magnification and resolution is possible through techniques such as electron and X-ray microscopes. And yet light microscopy, with its less powerful spatial resolution, is still the most widely used biological imaging technique today, in part because it can provide three-dimensional images of living cells.
