Steve,
Thanks! Also wish you a best 「whole」year.
所以我才想用 of the world.
“Greetings of the world” 也可以, 但我觉得不是太好. 要短的话, 不如就说 “Season’s Greetings” or “Happy Holidays”. Both of these are short and sweet.
一定要着重全球各地的话, 用 “Greetings from afar”, “Greetings from near and far” 也都行.

Glad to hear that you had a wonderful Christmas, and that you enjoyed the Christmas songs posted in the forum. BTW, “Season’s greetings from around the world” is one way to categorize the various greetings you were asking about.

Post title: I can only speak for French companies
Hello Gabriella,
Sorry to hear of your troubles - it is happening too frequently.
Firstly, I’m sure you were given the right advice about not chasing the company through the courts. If they are bankrupt, no court is going to get your money for you, nor is a debt collection agency. I don’t know the situation in Germany or in Greece, and I’m not a legal expert, but I was owed money here in France by a company that went into liquidation, so I can tell you how that worked.
I was told to send a letter by registered post to the registered premises of the company, stating my claim for payment and enclosing copies of supporting documents (in my case this was the unpaid invoices and the presence sheets proving I had taught classes of English students as invoiced). This had to be done within a relatively short period. In return, I received a letter and a form from a lawyer who had been appointed as the official receiver. Apparently, the form was simply to put my claim forward in the official way so that it could be considered with all the rest.
This tale doesn’t have a happy ending, unfortunately. My claim was very small and the company was very broke (the owner was awaiting trial last time I heard), and there wasn’t anything left for little old me once the big fish had had their fill.
Still, I felt as though I had protected my interests as best I could. I wish you luck protecting yours, and hope you achieve better results.
All the best
Sheila

Post title: They can’t deny my experience.
Hi Nicole,
I understand your point and admire your concern.
However, that company is yet maligning my image by giving negative references to my potential clients/employers. At least, people should know the truth, I feel. Professionally, I have gained appreciations in my career, except this one instance. Management is really poor there. I feel those who will read that posting, if interested, will visit my page and will see the appreciations as well, that I have got for my hardwork and sincerity, prior to working with that organization and will understand the sort of mistreatment I am talking about. Such mistreatments are usually taken care in well manner in good organizations, if done by others, but one can’t help if management does it itself.
The management of that organization cannot deny my experience as I have ‘experience certificate’, ‘appointment letter’ etc authentic proofs. They have to think twice to deny! I can present my experience certificate to prove my point anywhere!
Regards,
Prakaash

Ciao a tutti!

Post title: Your professional image
Blueboard rules aside - I do have the feeling that such an entry might hurt your professional image more than it might hurt your previous employer. Who - worst case scenario - might post a reply such as: “Who are you? We have never worked with this person.”
Any kind of bad mouthing or discriminatory remarks are areas of concern for potential clients, and I am wondering if this is the best way to present yourself.
Best regards,
Nicole :-)
